We have been enjoying the snow and watching the changes outside. We have taken our classroom outside and discovered that we can paint the snow the same way that we paint the paper. We are spreading kindness to the school each day this month and thought that making snow art for people to see would make them smile and inspire them to do something kind for others. Learning words such as, kind, smile, happy, friend and love are helping us expand our peer network and invite new people to play. We are hoping the weather gets nice so that we can continue exploring. Enjoy the beautiful weekend!

Hello Parents of Valley View Kindergarten,
Some of you may know that we have a field study planned for February 28th to Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. This is a great opportunity for our students to have hands-on learning experiences outdoors, learning how to be stewards of our environment. This field trip is in danger of being cancelled. This is due to the lack of parent volunteers that have their police clearance to accompany us. Kindergarten students must be in groups of no more than 5 students for every adult, which means we need a total of 10 adults, including teachers, to be with us at all times during each trip. If you are able to join us on this field trip, or any possible field trip in the future, it is important that you come in to the office to begin the process of being cleared as a volunteer. Please let you child's teacher know that you have begun this process. Thank you for your support - it takes a village! |
